The Grand Priory of Austria consists of:
- The Priory Saint Stephens
- The Priory Saint Leopold
HE Chevalier Günter Helm BGCSJ, Grand Prior of Austria
The Priory was founded 2008 under Prior Freddy Mayer with a great inauguration in his castle Somerunga in Lower Austria. As Founder members his successors Prof. Dr. Wil Godheer & Mag. Gunter Helm had there investiture at the same time there. The Grand Priory developed quickly to contain 50 members and two Priories, as the Priories of St Stephens and St Leopold were founded. Several local Investitures took place in Austria and the charity work climbed up in donations of 2 million Euros. The Grand Priory was active in the rebuilding of two houses after the tsunami in Asia.
Due to a problematic situation in our aid and charity work, as well as other events, the Grand Priory of Austria is today cooperating and synchronising its efforts and operations with the Grand Priory of Hungary.
