The Grand Chancellor of the Sovereign Hospitaller Order of Saint John of Jerusalem is entrusted with a central leadership role in the governance of the Order. Tasked with implementing the policy decisions of the Supreme Council, the Grand Chancellor ensures that strategic directives are carried out effectively across all levels of the Order.
In addition to administrative oversight, the Grand Chancellor coordinates the Order’s activities, ensuring alignment across its humanitarian, spiritual, and operational missions. A key aspect of this role includes managing both internal and external public relations, with support from the Information–Communication–Media (ICM) function when required.
Through this multifaceted responsibility, the Grand Chancellor acts as a principal steward of the Order’s unity, visibility, and continued service to its mission.
