The Grand Priory of Malta, represented by Grand Prior Mark Agius and Deputy Grand Prior Carmen Bellamy, alongside various members of the Order, gathered to honour the resilience and sacrifices of the Maltese people during two pivotal moments in history: the Great Siege of 1565 and World War II.
A solemn Mass and commemorative ceremony were held at the Xagħra Parish Church in Gozo, where attendees reflected on the courage and faith that sustained Malta through these historic trials. The event concluded with a dignified wreath-laying ceremony, symbolising remembrance and gratitude for those who defended the island and its heritage. This tribute underscores the enduring spirit of unity and resilience that defines Malta’s history and its people.
