Between October 25–27, 2024, our Order held an International Investiture in the UNESCO World Heritage baroque city of Noto, Sicily. Organised by the Grand Priory of Italy, the event brought together 120 brothers and sisters in a celebration of tradition, camaraderie, and service. In addition to welcoming new members into our esteemed Order, the gathering provided valuable opportunities for discussions, knowledge sharing, and strengthening bonds among members.

The Hungarian Grand Priory was represented by Chevalier Dr. Nagy Gábor COSJ, Deputy Grand Prior, in the absence of HE Chevalier Bartha Árpád GB.GCSJ(H). A significant highlight of the event was the Grand Master’s Council meeting on 25th October, presided over by His Imperial and Royal Highness Sandor Habsburg-Lothringen, during which new Grand Prior candidates were introduced. Chevalier Dr. Nagy informed the Council that in light of HE Chevalier Bartha’s imminent retirement from the role, his candidacy had received unanimous support from members of the Hungarian Grand Priory during their chapter meeting on 17th October 2024.

This marked a significant milestone for the Hungarian Grand Priory, reflecting their unity and shared vision for the future, and it was therefore confirmed that HE Chevalier Dr. Nagy Gábor COSJ is indeed the new Grand Prior of the Grand Priory of Hungary.

The entire Order extends its heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to HE Chevalier Dr. Nagy Gábor as he assumes his new role, alongside a strong sentiment of support for his future endeavours. At the same time, we take this opportunity to express our deepest gratitude to HE Chevalier Bartha Árpád GB.GCSJ(H) for his significant contributions and dedicated service to the Order during his tenure. His leadership and commitment have left an enduring legacy that will continue to inspire and guide us.
