In April 2025, H.E. Chevalier Vinzenz von Holle, Grand Prior of Germany, visited Palais Wilson, home of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva, for a programme of dialogue on the protection of human dignity and the strengthening of civil society.

The visit included briefings on current human rights priorities, discussions on safeguarding civic space, and practical pathways for collaboration between international institutions and faith-inspired humanitarian organisations.

During the visit, Chevalier von Holle met with Lech Wałęsa, Nobel Peace Prize laureate and former President of Poland. Their conversation centred on the moral responsibility of leadership, the courage required to defend fundamental freedoms, and the vital role of communities and NGOs in building resilient, just societies. The exchange affirmed shared commitments to peaceful advocacy, solidarity with those at risk, and the steady, day-to-day work of advancing human rights for all.
